Community Hubs

The Importance of Community

For many years, we have forgotten about community life and the value that connection brings. Feeling part of a tribe is meaningful – working together to support each other and thrive as a community is what we crave. With large supermarkets replacing local shops, we’ve become accustomed to convenience and it’s time we changed that, together.

What is a Community Hub?

A hub can take many forms. That’s the beauty of creating something locally! The needs of the community are at the heart of its objectives. It’s a space to come together, connect with like-minded people and can be multi-purposed in its offerings and services, depending on the skills available.

Finding a Local Hub

If you’re feeling called to get involved, our Community Hub Directory has an ever-growing list of groups that have formed across the UK. Whilst many have formed within the PHA network, this directory is for all community groups that would like to be included and are aligned with our ethos, whether they be health related or otherwise.
